In today’s hustle and bustle of Holiday shopping, it is interesting to watch and listen to people looking for the perfect gift. Some time ago, I wrote an article on contribution. We talk about it every day at Keller Williams Realty, and constantly look for ways to offer more to our clients. The thought of creating value always resonates in my head, yet I wonder if people really know what it means to them. The best gift you might give to another person could be you. Ask yourself, are you relevant? Are people better off because of your presence? Does someone feel better because you are in their life? I believe it’s not the physical gift you give that brings joy; it may be simply because you cared enough to share your time, money, or energy. It might be the telephone call, the personal visit, or a card in the mail that brings a smile and a warm feeling of companionship. We are all creatures who need connection and there is no better time of the year than Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons to make contact with an old friend, new friend, or family member.
